Sitting in hairdresser chair meme

In 2015 November, a famous meme website, 9GAG shared a hairdresser chair meme with a username Rullani and the caption was ” When you sit down in the salon chair in your plastic cape after a shampoo and you wonder if you have always been this ugly?” 

In this meme, a woman who just got washed and steamed her hair at the salon was looking in the mirror after wearing the hair steamer helmet and she found herself ugly like reptile creatures, especially the lizard. And the lizard is looking bored after looking at her face.

Soon after this meme got viral, hundreds of people said they can relate to this meme. But many said to be honest lizards are beautiful and they would be happy if they would look like her after having their hair treatment.

And still this meme is entertaining even after years.

Nowadays memes are part of our lives. Meme is a modern form of joke. In simple words they are the easiest way or source of entertainment in today’s hectic life, as compared to other entertaining activities like, gaming, watching movies, outing or eating your favorite food. Have you ever wondered? if there would be no meme culture, how boring our lives would be? On famous social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram or Twitter. In simple words, the internet world would be humorless without meme culture. And the internet would just be a source of information and updated news for the people.

The concept of Memes were started from the 90s, first made by recent college grads (conceived 1981-1996), the word meme began with transformative scholar Richard Dawkins in 1976, joining the Greek word mimeme — meant “imitated thing” — and quality. According to Dawkins, memes are social thoughts that spread and rehash the same thing across society.

Meme culture got a new hype, especially in late 90s a video clip got viral and people found it funny and entertaining. It was a Dancing baby meme clip, it was a digitally created meme.

And I am sure many of us would remember that meme.
